COVID-19 UPDATE: Another 25 lose their lives as number of confirmed cases passes 6,000-mark

A further 25 people lost their lives from Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours, the HSE said this evening.

The total now stands at 235 in the Republic.

The number of confirmed cases has now reached 6,074 after another 365 were diagnosed.

The total of deaths in Northern Ireland has reached to 78, as 84 new cases of the disease were confirmed, bringing the total figure to 1,339.
