After the sunshine, wind and heavy showers comes … a bit of everything: Met Éireann

IT’S getting hard to know what to wear these days. Friday’s Spring sunshine and record-breaking high temperatures for this time of the year was followed by yesterday’s wind and heavy showers.

Today? Well, according to Met Éireann it’s going to brighten up gradually with sunny spells developing across Kilkenny and most parts of Leinster, it said in its latest local forecast.

However, the wind and rain hasn’t completely gone away.

The national forecaster said: “Scattered showers will occur also, most of them in western parts of the province in the afternoon and evening, but they will be more isolated in east and southeast coastal areas. Blustery, with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds. Maximum temperatures 10 to 12 Celsius.”

There will be further scattered showers tonight, but otherwise it will be generally dry in the skies over the county.

Tomorrow will a bright, fresh day with sunny spells.

Met Éireann said: “The morning will be mainly dry, with just a few well scattered showers, mainly in western parts of the province, but showers will become more widespread during the afternoon and early evening, a few of them heavy. Quite cool, with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 Celsius, in fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly winds, easing later.”
