Major boost for Kilkenny boy as HSE approves ‘wonder drug’

THE family of Kilkenny boy Isaac Brennan are celebrating today after the Health Services Executive (HSE) approved the wonder-drug Spinraza as part of it’s public programme.

The drug has had a life-changing impact on the lives of sufferers of Spinal Muscle Atrophy (SMA) and is now set to be included in the public health programme.

The news will come as a major relief to families across the country who have campaigned for the drug to be made available here, including the family of Kilkenny’s Isaac Brennan.
