Burglars ransack Kilkenny city house and escape with stash of cash
Thieves broke into a house in Kilkenny city and ransacked several rooms before making off with a quantity of cash.
The burglary occurred at a house in Mayfield on the Kells Road at around 10am on Friday night.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed a widow was forced open to gain entry to the property, adding: “Rooms were ransacked and a sum of cash taken.”
