Emergency services rush to scene of county Kilkenny accident after car overturns

Emergency services attended the scene of a road accident in county Kilkenny earlier today after a car overturned in treacherous conditions.
Gardai this evening issued a warning after the incident near Mullinavat, urging motorists to slow down and to only undertake “essential” journeys.
A Garda spokesperson said: “A timely reminder with the current wet and stormy weather conditions around both Counties today. Please slow down when taking an essential journey, there is a lot of surface water and fallen debris on the roads.”
Gardai from Mullinavat and Mooncoin were assisted by members of Waterford and Thomastown Fire Service and National Ambulance Service at the scene of the accident.
Fortunately, noone was seriously injured in the crash.
