Good Samaritan comes to help of elderly lost visitor to Kilkenny

A big-hearted woman went to the aid of an elderly tourist who wandered off and got lost during a visit to the city this week.

The man, who is in his 80s, arrived in Kilkenny on a bus trip from the UK. It is understood he got separated from his group and ended up five miles away from where he started off.

Local gardai praised the actions of “a lovely woman” who came to the visitor’s aid and waited with the man until officers came and reunited him with his group.

A local Garda spokesperson said to the Good Samaritan: “You know who you are, and from us, a big thank you.”
