Hapless thief left empty-handed after breaking into van in Kilkenny town
A thief tried to gain entry to a van parked on the roadside of a county Kilkenny town.
The white Renault Master van was parked on roadside in Oakhill, Castlecomer, when the incident occurred between just after midnight and 7am on Friday.
The lock on the van was broken, but nothing was taken from the vehicle.
Gardai have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Castlecomer Garda Station.
