It’s a deal: Greens back plan to enter Government by 76%

The votes have been counted and 139 days after the General Election on February, we have a new Government.
The Green Party has backed the plan by 76% meaning Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin is now expected to be elected Taoiseach at a special meeting of the Dáil tomorrow in Dublin’s Convention Centre.
Fine Gael decided by an electoral college made up of 700-odd members, all of Fianna Fáil’s 14,500 members were entitled to vote with 8,194 members saying yes to the programme for government, while 2,864 said no.
