Kilkenny national school to get a brand new classroom

By COLIN BARTLEY
A PRIMARY school in county Kilkenny is set to expand after planning permission was approved for a new classroom.
Piltown National School’s Board of Management applied for the extra classroom in February, and approval was finally granted last month.
The extension will see the construction of a single storey classroom, which will include a resource room and assisted user bathroom.
The classroom was promised as part of a capital funding scheme announced by the Government in September 2018.
The South Kilkenny school currently caters for 330 students.
