Prima Doner: International fast food chain eyes Kilkenny location
An internationally renowned fast food chain is coming to Ireland, and Kilkenny is set to get a pitta the action!
Restaurant chain German Doner Kebab (GDK) is planning to open 40 outlets on the island of Ireland, beginning in next summer, with outlets in Dublin and Belfast.
The middle eastern cuisine inspired restaurants will then branch out into all the other major cities and towns on the island of Ireland.
Over the past five years, GDK has expanded rapidly and opened a host of restaurants across the UK, Sweden, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The company, whose food gains rave reviews online, also has nine new US outlets, as well as another eight UK branches, in the pipeline.
There is no set date for as yet for a Kilkenny opening.
