KILKENNY WEATHER: Some good news to brighten up your week

Kilkenny and the south east is set to enjoy the best of the weather forecast for the country this week.
It was a weekend of stark contrasts as Saturday’s beautiful sunshine gave way to thunder and lightning storms across the county.
Met Éireann said more settled weather will return over the coming days, which will be mostly dry and bright, getting warmer as the week goes on.
The national forecaster said: “Dry, bright and fresh tomorrow with good spells of sunshine. Cool with daytime highs of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate to fresh northeast breezes.”
Tomorrow will be dry apart from perhaps a few light showers in the north of the country, with the best of the sunshine over the southern half of the country. However it will remain cool, with highest temperatures of just 10 to 13 degrees.
Met Éireann added: “Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will continue dry with sunny spells and mostly moderate northeast breezes. Day time temperatures will range from about 12 degrees in the east and north to 16 or 17 degrees in the west and south.”
Early indications suggest next weekend will continue mainly dry, with temperatures in the high teens.
