Man found chained and beaten on city roundabout
An investigation has been launched after a man was found with serious injuries, chained up on the side of a city road.
A 27-year-old Limerick man was discovered by gardaí at the Kilmallock Road Roundabout on the Old Cork Road in Limerick at 5.50am on Tuesday.
The man had to be cut free from the chains by members of Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue Service.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where it was discovered he sustained a broken wrist and a broken ankle.
A Garda investigation is ongoing.
