REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Vera LARKIN (née Meighan)
St Rioch’s Street, Kilkenny City/Callan

Vera Larkin (née Meighan) St. Rioch’s Street, Kilkenny City and formerly of Ballycloven, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, died peacefully on Wednesday 9th February 2022 in the excellent care of the staff and her devoted family in Archersrath Nursing Home, Kilkenny City. Predeceased by her husband Paddy.

Deeply regretted by her son Donal, daughters Una and May, son-in-law Terry, brother Paddy and sisters Lily and Ann. Vera will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Nicola, Jaime and David and her great grandsons Aaron and Eolann and Nicola’s partner Nathan. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Maureen, Una, John, Stella, Harry, Michael, Liam, Noel, Peggy and Richard. Sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Friday (11th February) from 5pm, concluding with rosary at 7pm. Removal (Saturday 12th February) to St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny City for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.

The family would in particular like to thank the wonderful staff in Archersrath Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Vera over the last 2 years.

Mary (Maud) MURPHY 
Switzers, Castle Road, Kilkenny City/Kanturk, Cork

The death has taken place of Mary (Maud) Murphy, Switzers, Castle Road, Kilkenny and late of Kilbrin, Kanturk, Co. Cork (peacefully) at St Luke’s Hospital. Deeply regretted by her sisters Joan (Walsh) Kilderry and Kathleen, brother-in-law Cyril Walsh Kilderry and Kilmanagh, sister-in-law Maureen Murphy, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Hehir’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass at 10.30am on Friday morning in St. Fiacre’s Church, Kilkenny, followed by interment in Kilbrin Cemetery, Kanturk, Co. Cork.

Ballyneale, Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary/Kilkenny

And formerly of Tybroughney, Co. Kilkenny.

Peacefully in the loving care of the Residential Care Centre, Mooncoin. Predeceased by her loving husband Dick, daughters Margaret and Anne, parents, sisters and brothers, Sadly missed by her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Michael and Seamus, nieces, nephews, relatives and neighbours.

Reposing at Walsh’s Funeral Home, Carrick-on-Suir on Thursday, the 10th February, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Arriving at Ballyneale Church for Requiem Mass on Friday, the 11th February, at 11.30am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
