SPONSORED: Quickcrop: Turning your garden into an organic fruit and veg store

Andrew Davidson and Niall Mc Allister have a passion for growing their own food. And it’s one they are keen to share.
Their company, Quickcrop, supplies everything needed to turn your garden into an organic food store: plants and seeds,  tools and composters, raised beds and soil  – and also the expertise.
They don’t just supply quality products for your garden, they show you how to use them to grow your own fruit and vegetables through free videos on their YouTube channel and a  garden blog, with updates and timely reminders via social media.

Quickcrop have an extensive learning centre on their website with free tutorials on how to grow and maintain your own fruit and vegetables. They source and produce the right raw materials to make sure you have a great crop, whether it is from an urban balcony or large rural garden.

And all their quality products can be brought to your door. Quickcrop deliver throughout Ireland and abroad.

Quickcrop’s own roots go back to 2008 when Andrew and Niall set up the company in response to the growing interest people have in producing their own food.  They moved with their families from an urban to a rural lifestyle and began to make the best of the beautiful countryside around their homes in Co Sligo. They have both established  small farms where they produce all their own fruit and vegetables.

“We love the idea of being somewhat self-sufficient, with even the small moves we’ve made in this direction giving us immense satisfaction,” explains Andrew.”We have built up a level of knowledge and expertise from trial and error in our own gardens and that is essentially what Quickcrop is about. We supply all the stuff we use in our own gardens.  If we know it works for us, we can be confident it will work for you.”Niall and Andrew’s gardens flourish in a natural organic way. They don’t use any artificial pesticides or plant feeds and they can show you why you don’t need them.

“We believe the healthiest and best tasting food grows in the best soils,” says Niall.  “It is the key to successful organic growing. We can help you improve your gardens so you can grow strong and vigorous plants which aren’t prone to attack from pests and diseases.”Quickcrop believes in making vegetable-growing easy and accessible, whether you live in the countryside or the city, whether you want to grow a pot of salad leaves or want to feed your whole family.

They will show you how to grow the most delicious food with the minimum of effort and enjoy all the great benefits your own fresh food brings.  They source and produce the right raw materials to make sure you have a great crop, regardless of the size of your garden, and how to make the most of its location.
