Sporting legends line out for special event in aid of Kilkenny boy-wonder
KILKENNY Rose Clodagh Cassin is hosting a fundraising night for one of our most special little boys.
Brave six-year old Michael Butler and the campaign Michael’s Wonder Journey will benefit from ‘Happy Friday’ night arranged by Clodagh Cassin.
Michael, from Talbotsgate, was diagnosed with Paediatric Neurotransmitter Disorder when he was just one year old. But he also suffers from Severe Progressive Dystonia, Epilepsy, Spasticity, Microcephaly and Global Developmental Delay.
Michael is unable to talk or walk and has very little muscle control and needs constant care.
The fundraiser for Michael’s Wonder Journey kicks off at 7.30pm in Brogan’s Bar, John Street. Special guests on the night include Dublin GAA star, Bernard Brogan and Ireland and Munster rugby legend Mick Galway.
Tickets cost €20, and that covers a complimentary Ballykeefe Gin, complimentary food and a raffle ticket. Prizes include dinner and room at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, a Ballykeefe Distillery hamper and Tipperary Crystal jewellery.
