Tipperary woman admits pocketing cash from clients at Kilkenny workplace

A Tipperary woman has pleaded guilty to stealing from her Kilkenny employers.

Priscilla O’Brien from 9 Heywood Terrace in Clonmel, this week pleaded guilty to stealing €2,480 from Campion Insurance in Urlingford in 2017, at Thurles District Court.

The court heard that, on five separate occasions Ms O’Brien never lodged cash that had been received from a client into the company’s accounts. Ms O’Brien worked at the front desk of the Campion Insurance office on Main Street, Urlingford.

Ms O’Brien pleaded guilty to all five counts of theft. Sentencing has been adjourned until the end of April so a probation report can be produced for the court.
