US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania test positive for Covid-19
US President Donald Trump has confirmed both he and the First Lady have tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a statement, Trump said they will “immediately” begin the process of quarantine and recovery.
Trump tweeted: “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!“We will get through this together.”
The news was later confirmed in a letter from the President’s doctor. The White House physician confirmed President Trump will carry out his duties “without disruption” during quarantine, which he will take place “within the White House”.
