Cocaine discovered in raid on city centre business

A MAN in his mid-30s was arrested after gardai raided a business in the city centre and found drugs and weighing equipment on the premises.
In a planned raid on the city centre business, gardai discovered €630 worth of cocaine, €150 worth of cannabis, and weighing scales commonly used in drugs distribution.
Members of Unit E in Kilkenny, targetting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in Kilkenny, entered the business with a search warrant at 3.30pm last Thursday.
A male in his mid-30s was arrested at the scene and brought to Kilkenny Garda Station for questioning.
The man was released without charge. A file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecution recommending the man be prosecuted.
