Holy cow! Huge TAIL-backs after cattle trailer tips over on Kilkenny motorway

TRAFFIC on a Kilkenny motorway is barely MOO-ving after a cattle trailer overturned, causing chaos.

The accident has seen the cows escape and are running free on the M8 Motorway. The motorway has now been closed.

The incident happened just before 4pm this afternoon in the M8’s northbound carriage close to junction 4 at Urlingford.

Huge tail-backs have been reported and gardai are currently at the scene. Some of the cattle are still loose, but gardai are currently trying to clear the scene of the accident.

It is believed the driver of the jeep is not badly injured.
