New housing development to transform centre of Kilkenny town

A COUNTY Kilkenny town will see one of its biggest developments in years after planning was approved on a major new housing plan.

Kilkenny County Council gave the thumbs up to a new 19 home development just off the town centre in Freshford.

The development will consist of two-bed, three-bed and four-bed individual houses, in bungalow, dormer and two-storey style.

There is one four-bed bungalow, 10 semi-detached two-storey three-bed houses, and eight two-bed houses varying between dormer and two-storey semi-detached.

The development is be just off Bohercrussia Street beside the Woodview Estate.
