REVEALED: Number of days Kilkenny TDs missed a vote while present in Dáil

Kilkenny TDs did not cast a vote in the Dáil chamber for a combined 107 days over the last three years, despite their presence being recorded in Leinster House at the time.
The analysis of Dáil voting was compiled by RTÉ Investigates. It reveals the total number of days each TD was marked present in Leinster House but did not participate in any votes.
The figures are taken from the start of the 32nd Dáil – beginning in March 2016, up until July 2019.
The figures for Kilkenny TDs are as follows:
- John McGuinness (Fianna Fáil) – 54 days
- Kathleen Funchion (Sinn Féin) – 28 days
- Bobby Aylward (Fianna Fáil) – 23 days
- John Paul Phelan (Fine Gael) – 2 days
Junior Minister John Paul Phelan is among just eight TDs who missed voting on two days or less while they were marked present in the Dáil over the period.
John McGuinness is among nine TDs who missed 50 days or more voting while they were signed into the Dáil chamber.
The data was compiled using Oireachtas attendance records and data obtained by RTÉ Investigates under the Freedom of Information Act. The analysis excluded ministers and the Taoiseach, the Cheann Comhairle and the Leas-Cheann Comhairle.
