Tree-mendous escape: Falling tree narrowly avoids cars parked in Kilkenny city

The owner of these cars parked in Kilkenny city had a lucky escape after a large branch snapped and landed right between the vehicles.

The incident occurred this week on the Castle Road. Gardai and local Fire Services attended the scene and made the road safe.

Gardai have urged motorists to be vigilant of falling debris as the weather deteriorates.

A local Garda spokesperson said: “Please reduce your speed, allow extra time for journeys. Be conscious of extra surface water on roads, fallen debris and strong cross winds.”
