WEEKEND WEATHER: Could Kilkenny be in for one last blast of summer?
By COLIN BARTLEY
Don’t put away the shorts and shades just yet as this weekend could give us one last blast of summer with the Sun coming out and the temperatures hitting 21 degrees.
Not this morning though, as today will start cloudy with some rain. It will brighten before afternoon bringing sunny spells with just the possibility of the odd shower in the afternoon. Temperatures of could reach 18 degrees.
Saturday will be mostly dry and bright, with a few clouds breaking the sunny spells. There is a small chance of a shower in the early afternoon, but temperatures could crack 20 degrees.
Saturday night the temperatures could drop as low as seven degrees, so Sunday will start pretty cool. It will be nice day, with the chance of a couple of light showers in the evening, but temperatures again could reach into the 20s.
Best to make the most of this weather as on Monday it is set to turn, with a wet and cold weather front coming in off the Atlantic ready to great us Monday morning.
