Well-known sports star accused of sexually assaulting woman outside pub
GARDAI are investigating an allegation of sexual assault against a well-known sports figure who is already at the centre of a rape inquiry.
It is understood the alleged assault on a female victim occurred on Friday at approximately 9pm near a pub in a suburb in Dublin’s southside.
A statement from the Garda Press Office said: “Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time. Owing to the nature of the investigation, we will not be commenting further at this time.”
The sports star is already facing charges over a suspected rape that took place in December last year. This case is currently being reviewed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
